Pre-bent rubber fuel hose
I have a fairly sharp bend from my fuel log up through my turkey pan to my carb which is causing the fuel hose to kink somewhat. Where can I find 5/16 rubber fuel hose with a 45 or 90 degree pre-bend in the hose?

Why does the bend have to be rubber?
Bend a piece of metal tubing and splice in with rubber hose and clamps.

My car is pretty period correct and I'd like to maintain that as much as possible. Right now I actually have the right "gas gas gas" type fuel hoses on there and I guess I could bend the fuel log tabs and accomplish the same thing, but I am worried about breaking them and it's an NOS fuel log, so I'd rather not do that. This seemed like a pretty easy compromise and I was told these pre-bent fuel hoses existed, but can't find them anywhere (which might mean they don't actually exist). |

I'll take another look. I have a 3255 holley and I think the bigger issue was the angle from the fuel log to the fuel inlet. It's quite a bit different on a 3255 than on the 4160 I had on there previously. I don't think it was rubbing on the TP or I would have clearanced it to prevent wearing on the fuel line. But now you've got me thinking about it and I'll have to look. |

I'd look at Franks suggestion. The TP is full "o" holes to accommodate it all. Just make that one a tad bigger.

If you sweet talk the guys down at your local AutoZoneAdvanceNAPA store they will probably let you cruise around in their hose collection to find the bend and angle hose you need. You may have to cut it down to fit. This has worked for me a few times in the past.

I've done this too and think it's a good idea. I was told by a friend that they do sell 5/16 rubber fuel hose that has preformed bends. I thought someone might just know that part number as googling this hasn't been very successful unless I want to move away from rubber, which I don't. I'll try and post some pics this weekend, but he problem isn't the TP, it's the angle from the fuel log to the 3255. |

Yes. Both the fuel log and carb are correct for original 427 cobras and both have 5/16 hose barbs.

Suggestion,
Get a piece of 5/16 OD thin wall metal tube bent in the angle that you want or get a piece of tubing and bend it yourself. Slip it inside the rubber hose. The hose should conform to the shape of the bent metal tube. You can cut the tube to just the lengh that you want. If the tube is thin wall enough, it should not constrict the fuel flow.
