The Hurricane is Gone
It was a sad Sunday, three years of love and labor rolled away. The family was definitely shocked that I actually did it. Good news is it staying in Houston and will be loved by its new owner, and powered by an FE. I am keeping my side oiler for the next Cobra, which I am plotting for building early next year. I always wanted a Guardsman Blue IRS car and this was the only way to make that happen. In the meantime, we are focused on finishing 767Jockey (Doug's) Cobra and I am building my new race car, a 1969 Boss 302 Trans Am. For those who care, here is a build blog where I am posting our work.
I do want to thank everyone here on CC for their assistance (you know who you are) in helping me build my engine and Cobra. It would have been very difficult without the resources here. I have also made some life-long friends, which is better than any car. :) Thanks. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7272/8...e3a8521b_b.jpg |
It's never easy to let one go but it's always good to see it go to a great owner.
It's funny but we have become good friends with the owners of my brothers FFR. They're super people! Looking forward to watching your next build! Larry |
Jim,
Sorry you have left us but I am sure we will see each other in time! You are a great guy and will find happiness in whatever you drive! I have spoke with the new owner and sent him some "upgrades" he wanted. I think he will greatly enjoy your car! Best wishes and hope to see you again soon!!! Dusty |
Wow. That was unexpected. What make(s) of Cobras are you considering?
I like the Boss blog. Sounds like it will be a pretty sweet track car. Will it be street legal or a dedicated track car? |
Wow....sorry to hear you sold, but glad you're moving on to your next project. For lots of folks the pleasure is in the build....
I hope the new owner keeps in touch. The gentleman from whom I purchased my Cobra was a big fan of the car and every time I make some sort of upgrade or take it to show in a car show I text him....photos, descriptions, that sort of stuff. He always responds that he is so glad that someone who loves the car ended up with it. Good luck with the next one! Cheers! Dugly  |

Love the pics of the Boss 302 race car you are building! Don't know if you would be interested in a carbon fiber car like mine (Exact) but I know Roger has 2 cars left. One he is just about done with he is going to use as his demo car and doesn't want to sell that but he has one more body, frame and just about all the parts to do one more....

elmariachi - Saw you got a new CCX cobra last year, what ever happened to the Boss 302 Trans Am build?
