parts needed
Hi
I need a complete stainless brake line kit, to fit the csx 4000, Kirkham, HiTech cars. All so need a steering rack, for the same car. Thanks. |
I think HiTech's used the MG steering rack. Flaming River makes a correct unit that fits.

The HiTechs did use a modified mgb rack, I will more than likely end up ordering from flaming river. Just asking around, have had very good luck from members here and other forums gathering parts over the years. Both flaming river and classic tube are offering xmas sales so now might be the time to order. Cheers |
You could run the stainless brake lines yourself. It's nice stuff to work with and can be made to fit exactly where you want it if you have a brake flaring tool.

Yes I am going to call a couple of places tomorrow to see if I can get the right fittings needed, then I will make them up. I all so need a better flaring tool than the one I have, mine will make a nice double flare with steel but not stainless. Any suggestions on a good quality flaring tool for stainless that will handle the double flare? |
I'm kind in the same boat and have been researching quality flaring tools. Like a lot of us on here, I have one of those split-clamp tools that are better used for anything else BUT flaring brake lines! The one I do like the looks of is sold by Eastwood. It uses die's for different size tubing and clamps to your vice for a secxure work area.
Thats the one I like best, at least for the moment anyway. Still looking thogh. Larry |

David, thanks for the input.
Have you made any brake lines with the Eastwood tool out of stainless? |
Classic tube made me a great deal on complete set of stainless brake lines,
Got a very good deal on a steering rack. Larry let me know how the flairing tool works out. Cheers |
