Much of Ferrari's carbon fiber work (early stuff, at least) was pretty damned bad, paint notwithstanding. After all, it takes a lot of medium to make CF smooth as glass. Frankly, I see the texture as kinda cool, but the quality of the CF work itself...%/

I have ERA 714 built around 2006 without any cracking or dimpling. I do however have a scratch or two, one from backing into my zero turn mower. Ugh...

My FFR MkI has been on the road for 17 yrs and still smooth as glass.
