Need Mechanic Recommendations in Detroit suburbs Michigan
I have a Replica that needs some work and I took it into a local performance garage and got what I thought was some very high pricing. Does anyone have any recommendations on area garages (prefer close to Commerce Township as possible) that combine quality work with good prices?
302 Engine (Ford 1995) Edelbrock Carb Borg Transmission Mainly looking for some gaskets replacement, wiring work, tuning and insulation mat installed. Thanks! |
Saturnkk - did you try Brian Thompson @ Thompson Automotive in Wixom? Great guy I've known him for many years now. Not sure about his pricing though.

T/A works on everything. They also lease part of their building to a Cobra operation. You should stop by & meet Brian. SUPER great guy. Tell him Eric from Classic Chambered Exhaust sent you. Years ago T/A built the 351-C motor for my uncle's '70 Mach 1.
Wait til you see all the cars they have in the garage. You'll be impressed. They are right across the street from the Avanti guy - W. side of Beck Rd., a little South of West Road. |

Good luck. You are asking a place to do some careful finesse work for you with very careful techs - it will probably not be cheap unless you can find someone really good that will do it in his garage! Not too many people I would trust besides myself for something like that! I work on my own stuff though. |
