Has anybody used the MSD Atomic EFI system?
I'm contemplating getting this EFI system for my Cobra and wondered has anybody else used this system or has experience with it in any other vehicles?
It looks simple enough, and I'd love to go with EFI. |
Funny I was just thinking about this today. I wonder what Brent thinks about EFI in general.

Can make more power with carbs, unless boosted or supercharged...

Not really a fan, but I've dabbled with it. As a matter of fact, I just did a 408W with the FAST EZ EFI system. Did a magazine article about it.
Most of the throttle body EFI setups like the FAST EZ, the MSD, etc., are only rated for 550-625 hp. They wouldn't work for your setup Jeff. You could go with multiport injection, but you have to have another computer to run it all...plus it really wouldn't be favorable with a cam with lots of overlap (like yours). Carbs, IMO, are much easier to mess with....easier to tune, less components, less wiring, etc, etc. |
On the fuel system installation there is a warning to NOT use hard fuel lines. Why is that? Changing out the lines would make this a bigger project.
