Entered my first car show today!

Wow, it was weird. When people see and hear a Cobra pull in, they just freeze and stare, and then they part like the Red Sea as you drive through. It was a pretty cool feeling.

I parked next to a CSX S/C car built in 1998 with a 1966 Holman-Moody 427, so it was nice to have my '64 427 next to him. There was a GT-350R replica there along with a 1968 GT-350 Convertible and a 1969 GT-350.

It was a lot of fun and can't wait to do another.

Just a few quick pics on my cell phone. They had a pro photographer walk around, and he took plenty of pictures.

Yea. I know the feeling. There's not a lot of things cooler than finally getting some positive feedback on something you've slaved at for 2 years.

81, where? Dang. It was 80 today, but if you wore your favorite winter coat, it was free admission %/

:) It was about 45 when I hit the road, and it was about a 35 minute drive. I was pretty comfortable, and the car loved it. I would have been much happier at 70 though.

I asked the fellow next to me about his 1998 CSX, and he said it was for sale. It had a few issues....the wheels had a bad paint job, the car's stance was really high....it looked like it was AWD and ready for a dirt track, so that would need adjusting, the crank case ventilation was odd, and he had real cheap valve cover caps, the steering wheel was incorrect, and the tires were very inexpensive...I did not get a really close look at other details though.

Asking price, $165,000! Yikes.

He also has a CSX FIA car for sale with a 351 stroker.

Really nice man, but he is forced to sell both for medical reasons....he said, "I just can't drive them any longer". That bummed me out.
