2013 Big Bend Open Road Race

The Gobra finished its third Big Bend Open Road Race last Saturday. The car won the Peoples Choice Award at the 2013 BBORR Car Show held before the race. There were 160 entries at the event.

I have run that road and easily averaged about 90 mph with the occasional 18wheeler coming the other way. It must be an exciting event to drive at higher speeds with no traffic and the whole road to play on. Which class did you complete in?

Wow! averaging 90 mph on 285 between Sanderson and Fort Stockton is quite a challenge with traffic. If you can estimate your time to 1/100 of a second to finish the 118 mile race, and not exceed your max, you could finish in the top 4 or 5.
We were in the 124 max class with a 105 Tech Speed.
