What is it?

I recently purchased my dream car a 65 Cobra Replica. When I bought it I was told that it was built by Ron Butler and had a Butler Racing 302 (it is built and a little high strung).I posted picture of my car on the Arnt/Butler Forum and they tell me it is neither. Can anyone help identify who built it? Like a Butler it has a Jag IRS and MGB front, engine is set back a bit. I have been over the frame and do not see any numbers anywhere, although I have an appointment to put it up on a rack for closer inspection. Any help would be appreciated. Posted Picture here.

Often, a big help in identifying a mfg is with pictures of the underhood (hood hinge and firewall area), the dash and interior (door hinges) and the inner trunk.
You can do that without the car being on a lift.
When you do get it up in the air, pics of the frame, the rear end mounting and front suspension will also help.

The OP has the underhood pictures in his link to the other post in the Artnz/Butler forum.
To me at least, the radiator support (I guess that is what that is anyway) and at least the front picture with the "wings" next to the oil cooler opening would be a dead givaway to someone who knows the manufacture. At least that is my opinion, which means D--K.
Edit:
Man, that is a long way from the radiator to the engine. Unless that is just the way the photo was taken, but I don't think so.

The " wings ". next to the oil cooler look like the bottom of the radiator..........its mounted vertically,
one of the reasons it was slanted in the original..........the distance to the radiator only adds extra coolant in the hoses.......no adverse effects.

So you think that that is actually the radiator and painted the same color as the car? Or did they put the "wings" there to try and protect the radiator.

The radiator is mounted on an angle and the "wings" are actually part of the body. and Tcrist you are right the engine is mounted way back in the compartment. Guess from a distribution stand point that is positive as it turns and corners like a go cart.

Wonder if those "wings" under the oil cooler on the body were from when the body was laid out and were supposed to be removed and were'nt
