Cayenne V8 engine fits in a cobra?
Hi guys
Love the forum Anyone know if the cayenne V8 turbo engine fits in the cobra ? Size wise it should be fine but would it need a huge amount of work arounds to install ? |
As just about any of the other non-traditional engines used in these cars, it can be done but will need a lot of work. You (or your builder) will need to fabricate a lot of parts to make it happen- headers, exhaust, motor mounts/perches, cooling system and connections, transmission supports, Engine management system, and whatever other systems that don't match up to the existing chassis.
I've seen pics of just about everything else in these cars, so why not? Bob |
Bring me one. We have the biggest engine bay in the Cobra Biz, check out my photos. Bigger and better is our thing

All I know is that I would love to see any Porsche engine in a cobra. Because of their heritage I never considered it but it would be amazing.
It would also be neat to see a ferrari or lambo engine in a FFR GT40.. Sorry.. bit off topic with that last one. :) |
thanks guys
