Refurb clutch & brake reservoir
My clutch/brake reservoir look terrible due to the paint pealing from the brake fluid. Has anyone refurbed theirs if so what was done?
Thank you,
Mike

Someone on this site did a great job refurbishing their cans, including putting new Lucas labels on them. Search for the thread "Do I need new brake rerservoirs?"
I got tired of them leaking and went with Kirkham's setup. No more issues and I have time to refurbish the old ones to keep on hand when I want to go back for "correctness".;)

I have heard good things about powder coating them. There is also a CC member, CC name PaulProe, that makes better gaskets for the lids that are not supposed to allow them to leak.

The gaskets were brought up in one of Patrick's threads. they are similar to the gaskets in modern brake reservoir gaskets. They are available in most auto parts stores in the section selling the small replacement parts, fastners, springs, nuts, bolts, etc. The gaskets and keeping the fluid level down at about the 1/3 level should prevent spillage.

I powder coated about 3 years ago. I also keep the fluid level at about 1/2 filled. The fluid doesn't spill out now.

Honorable mention wasn't good enough for you at Wheels and Waves? Now you have to make some upgrades so you win First Place next year? You should just let them rust so the rest of us have a shot at a plaque. ;)
