Randy Ritchey and Performance Assoc
Can anyone tell me what happened to Performance Associates and it's owner Randy Ritchey? Here in SoCal, they had a great shop and Randy is Les Ritchey's son. Well known Ford racers since the early 60's. They had just moved to a new shop and Randy was all excited about it. I had him work on my Cobra and he had several others there. Also had factory lighweights, cammers, a full engine build shop etc. Now... "poof, gone". %/

I have heard that he had a heart attack. Survived but he closed his shop.

This is what I heard... heard from another guy that he got real sick.
Didn't know he had a heart attack a year ago... haven't talked to him in about 3 years. He finished my CSX and Bob built the engine that was subbed out from Shelby Gardena thru Don McCain. Hope he is ok as well... |
He had a good thing going and carried his Dad's name forward. Just Google Les Ritchey if you don't know him. He was building Cammers and Factory Lightweights and wrenching on a lot of Cobras just a few months ago.
Thoughts and prayers to him and his family. A good man that will talk to you all day if he knows you get it. |
