Where can I find a paint/stripe picture thread?

New member here. Is there a thread that contains pictures of the various paint and stripe combinations?

There are so many beautiful combo's it makes it hard to choose what to do.

I love Blue but the vast majority of cobra's in my area are already blue. I want something different.

I have been searching google images but was just wondering if there was a comprehensive thread?

Thanks

ERA has you covered. You decide the color scheme. Note the stripes are tapered so they look straight because of the shape of the car.

Very helpful template! Thanks for sharing. I am also looking for actual pictures to help me decide on what to choose!

I am likely to go with something less traditional.

Thanks

Keep in mind that what you see on your computer is only vaguely similar to what a paint color will look like in real life. Depending on the program and the photo to begin with there will be a lot of variations. Especially any of the reds.
Best bet is to haunt the car dealerships to find colors that appeal to you.
In my case I had to chase some guy in a Mustang for several miles into a Costco parking lot to ask him what the paint color was on his car (Red Fire Pearl Metallic). After that I took a 6"X12" piece of sheet metal, shot it with a rattle can of Red Fire and then his all the local parts stores and got about 8 samples of gold touch-up paint and put a stripe of gold from each one on the sheet metal. Waited for them to dry and then moved between incandescent, fluorescent, cloudy outside, sunny outside and in between. Finally settled on the GM Gold and went with it.
Lots of comments about the color combination at different events. Women seem to be more taken with it than men but women see a slightly more saturated color pallet than men do.
Bottom line is a photo on the web or on your computer will give you a general idea of what a color looks like but you really need to see it for yourself to know what it will really look like.
Added a "glamor photo" of mine but, again, the computer doesn't really do it justice.

That is one cool picture!!!!!! I love Redfire especially in the different lights. I have an 04 terminator so I know the color well.

You are absolutely correct on the Internet is just a baseline. It sounds like we approach things a similar way. And yes, most of this picture exercise is for my wife. We did the same thing when we bought our GT500 and 04 SVT Cobra.

Thanks

I was going to paint mine blue, then I went to Carlisle and there was 29 blue Cobras with whiite stripes, two red ones, and a purple one. Sooo...I went with this:

Beautiful car! I am one of the "Blue and White" guys, but changed things up with the "meatballs" and #5.

For the OP, As far as stipes, They are somewhat tricky. There are posts here with all the proper dimensions. Throw in the meatballs and even more so if you're going to do it in the paint;)

I saw this link on a thread a few days ago. Can't find the thread, but here's the link...
Brock Racing Enterprises
It's Pete Brock's thoughts on colours and stripes, mainly related to the Superformance/Brock (Daytona) Coupe, but applicable to Cobras as well.
Cheers,
Glen

Love your color. I saw a light metallic lime green/black stripe that looked crazy but cool.

I have several combos I am considering. I do like a 2013 combo that is Deep Impact Blue / Matte Black Stripes.

Sterling Grey/Red looks great. I loved the Black/Red Kirkham that just sold a month ago on cobra country.

I even saw a grabber blue/black stripe that looked cool.

Maybe some day I will make a decision.
