I am not, I do tell them is manufactured by WCC I don't hide that, I have no control of the fact that this is how it was built and titled in California and three years ago NYS accepted that titling.

Besides, anyone with enough common sense will not drive or show in a local hometown car cruise an $750,000.00 +++ car if they own an original. Most definitely it would be in my living room and there will be very tight security measures around;).

Lastly, if someone knows a little bit about original Cobras, my car does not look anything like the original ones, it is 6" longer and 4" wider with totally different interiors.

It's rare for me to reuse a picture in such a short amount of time, however, I believe this to be appropriate to this thread as well as the one that was closed a few days ago:

If not, Ron/Ron can remove it as need be

Nothing wrong with this thread as I can see. The guys are discussing the posted topic. You may not like it so you are free to post your pics in other threads.

Sheesh. Last I recall you are not a moderator. Neither am I but just because someone doesn't like a topic should give them the right to jump it and try to have it shut down.

The moderators here are very adept at "closing" threads when they deem it appropriate.

I find my moderation duties on this one's sister site (clubhotrod.com) to be a handful, so thankfully I am not on "this" forum

REAL 1 06-28-2013 10:24 AM

Yep, he's the "bane of my existence", as well others, on another site where he snags all the best deals. :p

He's the epitome of statement: "the early bird catches the worm."

And Bill was giving me a hard time about "pissing matches." :JEKYLHYDE :)

BAsque1 06-28-2013 04:16 PM

Poor horsey, it definitely got beaten:CRY:
Guys, the good thing about this is that after all is said and re-said and re-said, we are the luckiest sun*****es in the world, having to deal with all this attention and character assassination, we still drive the meanest in your face nasty car in the world (real, replica, kit car, or any other name to it)
Amen to this discussion
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your beasts!!!!
Sincerely
Lou

You guys are WAY smarter than me. I'm just plebeian compared to you geniuses. I can only dream of aspiring to your lofty level.

Hmm, as a "civilian", suppose I happened upon a "Factory Five '33 Hot Rod" at a car show and I asked the owner what year it was, to which he replied, "Its a 2013 replica of a 1933 something or other as would theoretically be modified by a 1950's hot rodder". To which I would become confused and just rather have heard that it was a 1933 something or other. :JEKYLHYDE

I'd rather hear, "it's a replica of a 33 ford". Why is that so confusing? After that information is gained, you can, as a "civilian", begin asking more questions like who built it, when did you built it, what chassis it's based off of, etc.

I guess that I just don't understand the reluctance of Replica/Kit/component/whatever you want to call it owners to call their car what it is. (And now we have come full circle once again).

It's odd...on other forums, a couple of people will post pictures of their replica's and say what they are "Superformance Cobra", "backdraft Cobra", "FFR", then someone comes along and says, "1965 Shelby Cobra" and even more ohhhhhhhhhhs and ahhhhhhhhhhs are gained because it's....(not really) the real thing. It's just disingenuous and misleading in my personal opinion. As much as you want to believe you have the real thing...you don't (well the lucky few do, but that's not who we are talking about....not sure they are even allowed to post in this thread!). It's a forum...plenty of time to type a few extra words for clarity purpose.
