Fuel line routing and filter/regulator locations
I decided to use the RobbMc 1100 HP mechanical pump, Aeromotive Platinum polished deadhead regulator and 40/100 micron filters, and probably Fragola or Aeroquip teflon/stainless braided lines. In the engine bay, the fuel lines will go from the pump to the 40 micron filter to the regulator, and then I will have two lines exiting the regulator and connecting one to each bowl of the carb, with no log. So my questions are: (1) where are the best locations to mount the regulator and 40 micron filter, and (2) how should I run the hoses in the engine bay so they look neat? Thanks.

40 microns for a final filter strikes me as a bit large for a final. I'm coming from the EFI side of the house but I use a 5 micron final for my installation. Also and 1100 HP fuel pump seems a little over kill unless you have a real fire breather for an engine.

It will be breathing a little fire.....over the capacity of the 600hp capable pumps out there.

Lippy;
I went through the same fuel pump location question and ended up mounting the pump, filters and regulator on the aluminum panel above the gas tank. There is enough stuff already in the engine bay without adding to the cluter with a big fuel pump and associated plumbing... |
