Last Saturday when I stopped for gas a little kid want to look and my car.
He wanted to know what the motor looked like so I told him to go ahead and open the hood and see for himself.

He asked if he could sit in the car so I opened the door and told him to hop in.

I was talking with his mother and it turns out she use to drive dragsters and race karts.

my kind of people.

Sounds great. I never hesitate to let well mannered kids sit in my car. One of my favorites was a five-year-old who thought my car was Lightning McQueen from the Disney cartoon film, Cars.

Cute!

Let kids sit in car

I usually let some of the kids sit in the car when Im ata show.
Of course they love it !
I tell the parents I do this so they all dont grow up driving a Prius ( I stole that line). Anybody within 10 feet usually laughs.

We gotta start grooming them young.

That kid will be posting someday here saying he just got a Cobra and he wanted one since he was a little kid and someone let him sit in one. :)

For the past several years Cascade Cobras has been setting up a booth at the Portland Roadster Show.
The booth space is donated by the show because we support Doernbecher Children's Hospital for our local charity. We always supply two or three cars to the booth for attendees and their children to sit in and have their parents take photos of them. A large donation jar is placed in the booth so anyone who wants to can donate to the charity.
The booth is always a big hit at the show and we usually manage about 3 to 600 dollars for the hospital.

Great story... but you know there is a mother who use to drive dragsters and race karts and her son who are telling this same story a little differently on a forum, it's titled: "The nicest people we meet drive cobras".

Thanks for flying the flag on behalf of us all.

Just saying
