B&B Coupe molds for sale

B&B is selling their molds and tooling for their Daytona Coupe for $35,000. Includes fixtures, all molds, CAD drawings, molds to make the plexiglass and side windows and rest of parts inventory. I'm asking for opinions on how strong the coupe market is to see if this will be worth the investment.

if your planning on going into production after you pickup all of B&B's stuff that figure may reach $100k before your first car hits the road....

I believe he first half of your post answers the second half.

It's tough enough to be in the Cobra business. To specialize in the coupe would be even tougher. Especially against the established businesses that have made a name for themselves.

Mr Bruce has a set of Coupe molds for $12k.....

The main fixture is the frame jig.

One question I would ask myself is why is he selling them if they are profitable?

If you look at the pics , it looks like a very poor attempt.........

Let's see FFR has redone their body, so that's better. They have a far better frame that's engineered. They have a glass rear hatch now. Then when a sale is going on they have been including the IRS in the complete kit, plus a discount on wheels. Quality production makes it hard to compete against.

Hummmm :)

Thanks everyone for the responses from here and the PM's I have received. I respect each and everyones opinions. I have owned a Factory Five and a B&B. I will not own another FFR. I have my reasons, so please respect my opinions as I respect yours. I am not looking for "A" or the "Best" car, I'm just looking to expand my interests. I feel All manufacturers have excellent qualities, so I'm not condemning anyone.

Go for it.....you never know what might happen.

The Kirkham's seem to be doing pretty well with their Daytona Coups, they are sold out till, forever...%/ It's only money for $35k buy it make one car for yourself and worst case is you have some molds left over. I'm sure you can sell more than one car, I myself would love to see you do it, improve on the model and who knows, you might be the next KMS...;)
