Left side or right side of the road, right?

I just thought this was funny as heck. A country changing on what side of the road you drive.

You know, it's not so much having to drive on the "wrong" side of the road, but it's when you have to drive on the wrong side and you don't have your wheel over on the wrong side as well. I'm thinking of, say, the Virgin Islands, where almost all of the cars are from the states, and have the wheel over on the left, but you have to drive on the left as well. It's very hard to get used to. So hard, in fact, that I don't even try.:(

My dad told me about the day they changed in Argentina. Imagine, one day...."Hey everybody....SWITCH!"

Any of these changes are difficult to deal with. I drove (ok, attempted to drive) a manual transmission car in Thailand. Sitting in the driver's seat on the right was strange enough, but operating the clutch and shifting with the left hand was so unnatural, it was almost like learning for the first time. And, I had to keep saying over and over "Keep left, keep left...don't talk to me!...keep left". It was only a 20 minute drive, but I was tired out nonetheless. I can't imagine the chaos of an entire country changing. Wonder what the statistics were on head-on collisions?
