Early owner pictures of original cars.

Just reading a thread response by marcoscsx3121 and noted in his visible "about me" information that he owned 3121 from 1969 through 1975. That got me to wondering if anyone had ever started a thread to ask original and early Cobra owners to post a few of their favorite pictures of the 289/427 cars from back in the 60s/70s and maybe add a few stories or recollections about owning and driving them when they were still just a used performance car and not yet worth the price of a nice sized house or two or three.

I apologize up front if this has been done before - just haven't stumbled across it.

Edit:

Guess I should have added - if willing, please post your photos and stories below.

Thanks

Dan,

That would be an interesting thread. I have helped a couple of guys track down the original Cobras they owned back in the 60s and the stories they told about them were really interesting. One had owned a 427 and he and a friend drove it from Southern Calif. to Oregon State when he was going to college. Another's Father had owned one and he was trying to find it and by the time we tracked it down two other people who had owned it had joined in with their stories. It is now in Florida and the man that owns it has another original as well.

Ron ;)

One more bump to the top and then off to the thread graveyard.

I am not an original car owner, but here are some pics I took in the late sixties of CSX2472 at an autocross in Pittsburgh. The owner at the time was J.J. Rodman and he and his sister both drove the car very well.

Nice shots, I agree that this would be awesome to see some old shots of original cars.
