I looked at your profile and see that you are in New Jersey---are both cars local and registered there? or out of state somewhere else-------

If you do go for the autu and decide to convert later it won't be anywhere near the prices listed for the capt eddie car-you won't need new pedal assy and 3 master cylinders with THREE BILLET resivors --however since it is a 428fe you possibly will have to match flywheel balance as the 428 is external balanced

Car 1 1966 Shell Valley 428FE big block with C6Automatic trans. 234 miles offered at $32K. Top and cover included (Mint condition) (Heat and defroster)

Car 2 1965 Lone Star with 5k miles 351W stroked to 427 and T5 transmission offered at $29k. No top or cover (Mint Condition) (No Heat and defroster)

Both cars are blue with white stripes.

This is a tough decision.

Answer is B. I wouldn't own a Cobra with an automatic and/or a faux-FE (428).

I'd be careful with that T5 though. Unless it is built up it probably shouldn't be in that car. They are only rated for 300ft/lbs of torque. I would bet that a stroked 351 has significantly more toque than that. I'd swap it ASAP. Then you could send the old parts to me so I can swap out the C4 in my 67 Mustang. ;) Swapping an auto to manual is a lot more difficult than it sounds. And more expensive too. I'm looking at at least $1500 in my Mustang and that is using a junk yard special T5...

Sigh, did you read the link in my sig line? Or what I originally posted on this thread. For 30K (I am assuming the ceiling to your budget) there are far nicer cars out on the market.

I have looked everywhere and for my top budget of 30K I can't find them. I using craiglist, ebay and cobracontry am I missing something. It seems like $35-38k is the break point for better cobra's.

Where in NJ are you located?
