NCIS Cobra

Anybody know the brand of Cobra seen on NCIS last nite being driven at speed on a closed circuit by" Kinsie"?

DanEC 10-09-2013 07:49 AM

My suspicion is Superperformance but I really don't know.

Watched the show last night and even paused it a few times to check out the Cobra. Seems like 2 cars were used. The static car seemed to have Factory Five wheels and gauges in the dash. Whereas, the driven car had different mirrors and wearing Halibrand wheels. Either way, is was really KOOL to watch..........

The Cobra was a Factory Five. I know for a fact they broke the motor bad and may have needed a fill-in car to finish the shoot. That would explain the two cars. That little old lady calling that her Cobra just didn't work for me.

The information on the Other sites say it was a FFR that was initally used. But they blew the engine, and Superformance was used to fill in for the rest of the shots.

I agree - I can't imagine that little old lady driving "her Cobra". I don't think she could reached the pedals, and if she did, then the "model like" actress who "drove" it would not have been able to fit in it. Sorry, I just didn't buy it. Also, I think it was really wrong to portray the Cobra as an Original Cobra. I would have had much more respect for the show if they told the truth and called it a Replica - lying about the car does not help our community.

Hey what does Real_1 have to say about portraying it as a real Cobra. Another member started a similar thread the other day about this show.

I wondered how CS would have felt about them referring to it as a "Shelby Cobra".

That makes sense - I thought FFR at first but later they had a good shot from the rear and it was definately not a FFR MK III or earlier from that angle. They had probably already switched to the Superformance by then.

You want reality from Hollywood???...Hahahahahaaa....

Nedsel 10-21-2013 10:14 PM

Does anyone recall the small woman who is the Boss on that show? You would have seen her as a villain in an early James Bond film, with spikes hidden in the toes of her shoes.

347stroker 10-22-2013 04:31 AM

Nedsel you are referring to Lotte Lenya. She portrayed Col. Rosa Klebb in From Russia With Love in 1963. The other person is Linda Hunt who is in NCIS LA.
