Is an autogyro the same as a gyrocopter or a more modern term for one?
Same thing. Here in South Australia it became self regulated. You don't need a private pilots licence or helicopter. You go to the clubs, find a 2 seat trainer. Get a Certified instructor. Fairly easy. It was a while back, so I'm not sure now. Was great fun.

As for the rest:

I have a wonderful family, some quite famous in their own right, yet it is rare that I mention any of them as it is irrelevant to this site. Same goes for education, wealth, and a host of other items that again are not relevant to this site. I prefer instead to give to those that ask, regardless of whether they are of noble stature or not, and to never look down my nose at any who are here.

Bill S.

Well whatever your intentions are they reflect back towards you, just as you may say mine reflect back towards me. Just the mention of a few items such as my family, Yale, Fairfield county on this I have reconnected back channel with a few that I have met some time ago.

You made the ignorant comment towards me about transmitting in my basement and what other bit of nonsense did you post? It was bad enough that I had to waste time commenting then let alone your post here.

If you want an education in SigInt, penetration testing, social engineering, etc... I have little time to waste on explaining the facts of life to you.

Just a suggestion skip my posts, your delusion insights are better kept to yourself. You or anyone else that has a problem with my comments are welcome to do so back channel. However I have only had positive PM's and inquiries.

Not sure where you are coming from, do I challenge your expertise of being king of the mountain on a site? I really could care less. Did I insult the integrity of Kopec and SAAC? I already made my comments on his site, he never responded to what took place decades ago.

Funny thing I've been compared to Jay on the way that I speak. Many people think that he is showing off with all his automotive knowledge and tidbits of trivia. Far from the truth! It's about education.

I looked into the site you posted. I think if I was younger I would get into a lot of trouble, I know better at my age. Very interesting stuff I was reading and also I was checking out the FAA regs here in the US.

Thanks for posting.

Well that was funny. I wanted to post that video of the FFR? Daytona in that porn movie but wasn't sure of the protocols.

DECADES AGO , and you say you do not have a chip on your shoulder. Perhaps it is time for you to let this hatred go as it will eat you up inside. As for the comment of "his site", sorry, but the SAACforum is a SAAC item in name alone and is not owned, nor run by Mr Kopec.

As for social engineering, both before the web and afterwards, I believe you are behind the curve on that one. Tip your pinky up at me if you will, but I am not the one with the poor social interaction here. Nor do I have to prove anything to the likes of you, which I am sure you will read with much disdain.

Bill...you've been testing my patience here on several threads that have required attention over the past few months, not to mention over at the other place.

Had enough. Get off this thread and stop being a dick everywhere else.

Now.

Helicopters! one machine I always wanted to build, mother has always been petrified of those things. If it were not for the cost of owning and maintaining a helicopter that carries more than one person we would have had one a long time ago. Our Cobra has certainly filled the gap admirably,as have our motorcycles, tractors, and camp.

Gyrocopters are far simpler and easier to fly then a helicopter. Helicopters are like hundreds of bits whirling around waiting to destroy itself. But much safer then planes.

You missed the boat on this one-- SigInt, penetration testing, social engineering, etc... look up SigInt you may learn what I was getting at. Obviously it went over your head. That's ok I expected that. It's not very effective being a smart ass making a comment when you missed my concept completely.

As far as helping others out. "Don't take this the wrong way" (your words not mine) how did you help out that Mcsouthern member selling an engine? Heck that could have been me making a similar post but giving it away instead of selling it.

Was offering to sell a musket helping him out. As I recall I questioned members as to why they were responding the way in which they did. I have read some of your helping comments I give you that.

As far as education yes I mentioned I dropped out of Yale after my first year. So what, I mentioned that after mcsouthern mentioned he dropped out of school, again so what! And to make it relevant somewhat to an auto forum I mention Briggs Cunningham who also attended the same university and dropped out. Time spent with Briggs was similar to spending it with a third grandfather. I will not change the way I write or compose my thoughts for anyone and as far as my friends I speak freely on those too. Hell I've only mentioned Cozy, wait until I start talking about Jimmy Page and other good friends.

As far as famous relatives I don't believe we have any in my family. Yes great industrialists, presidential advisors, first president of federal reserve in NY, however I wouldn't say famous. Most certainly listed in Who's Who of course, but not a famous name so to speak.

Maybe you should mention your famous relatives I may know someone. Feel blessed for what you have and don't worry about what another has or has spoken on.

I really didn't know the organization of SAAC. Being a jerk 25 years ago to me.... he still is unprofessional. What can I say it was my experience not yours.

Listing east coast and west coast....really now you feel so offended by my editing that info? What is all that about? Really now, a chip on my shoulder. Dam I'm sort of not wanting to put any other information on here. Once again I put that there for those that want to reach out to me. I guess you will have to search your own demons as to why you must comment as you did.

There was not enough room to input what I had wanted to anyway. We have compounds/properties all over.

This was your comment:

"PS: I do find the OP's comment that he did not look at the pictures at all a bit strange. If you were looking at a specific auction and/or car, why would you not study the pictures as well? Makes me wonder if the OP is perhaps not old enough to legally drive yet"

As I suggested just skip my posts or if your imagination is running wild again just send me a PM.

I don't need a moderator's help at all. I've spilt blood for mrmustangs right for free speech. However if you want to I can unleash the Miyamoto Musashi in my DNA and lay waste to everything. But I have such a distaste for such things and usually withdraw.

Sorry back to out regular programming.

Bernica 10-18-2013 11:57 AM

Are we back on topic now? Did JAMO have to pull the car over, get in back and slap the crap out of....well, you get it.

For me, I visit this site often due to the depth of knowledge, the integrity of most of it's members, and the willingness to check egos at the door and dive in to help and contribute.

My other sites, while few, include:

High Performance Technical Content - Ford Tech - FordMuscle
Jalopnik - Drive Free or Die
www. Autoweek.com
SAAC.com

Well, when you do, I would like to know if he actually recorded a second version of Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You with Steve Winwood in the late 60's that was, of course, never released. OK, now back to the regular thread....

I have no idea....way before my time. lol I'm sure a thorough search will find the info. I'm only intimate with his work from '75 to present. However he did work on Goldfinger. Everyone seems to add his name to 60's session work, and for some it's a cloudy topic.

I did introduce him to his Brazilian wife.:)

And please forward all questions about Aleister Crowley to Sir Jimmy!

Well I had not intended it to be nonsense until an ICBM was launched in my direction.

However one site was very interesting and spent some time reading the gyro site.

Two other sites worth mentioning. Jesse and his just a car guy blog has a wide range of info from all over. Just a car guy

Chris on cars has interesting pieces at times. He knows a great deal of history. http://chrisoncars.com/

OK, somebody's gotta say something. Quit with the "Swinging D##k" pissing contest!
There are plenty of folks here that can drop names all day, but they don't. That's not the point of this website, I believe. I am not a moderator, just getting pissed.
