weather strip
Hello all,
My hood has sunk a little bit and after messing around with the hinge screws, I think it is the weather stripping around the hood that has "settled" too much and causes the back side of the hood to sink a bit. I think if I replace that rubber strip along the hood with a thicker/sturdier one, the hood will once again "float" to its perfect fit. Will someone suggest a resource for this rubber stripping? The one offered by finishline.com seems just as anemic as the one my CSX car wears from new... Thank you, and Cheers! Hector |

Nick, does the CSX rubber just peel off? Before I go out there and start messing things up, any specific trick so as to not damage the paint? I didnt know if you have done this job before, but it does not hurt to ask:o Cheers! Hector |

I have just peeled it off slowly, as Bill suggests a little warmth could help. Any glue left I use goo-gone or dry cleaning fluid.

Thank you Bill 'n Nick.
Nick, I'll see you at your website:D Hector |
