289 FIA Exhaust Question

How does the exhaust route around the battery box and the drivers side in a 289 FIA configured car? I know how it is on the outside but would like to see the engine compartment setup for my build.

Thanks
Bill D

The exhaust headers are very similar to Block Hugger street rod type, VERY VERY short primaries into the 3" slip fit collectors. Bellanger was the vender. Exhaust science was in its infancy in 1963, comparatively speaking they are not very efficient by todays standard. The 3" collectors exit straight down for about 6" then a 90 degree turn to outside in a horizontal plane then into another 90 degree turn to the rear into a 3" tube under the doors, then into the side exit.
