Help identifying a motor
 
Hi,

I'm looking at one without build history paperwork and cannot figure out what motor is that.

SBF, 289, 302, 331, 347, etc. Not a 351W.

Ford small block - could be anything from a 260 to a stroked 302. Doesn't look like a raised 351 block. If there isn't any build documentation on it you would have to tear it down at least part way to see what's in it.

Thanks for help! This is a good starting point. Would a Cobra with this motor be more or less desirable?

That depends on the owner, some folks prefer small block engines, some prefer FE series or big block engines......no right or wrong answer, it's what you prefer and what makes you happy.....
