Weber manifold question

I'm installing an original style manifold with the twin water inlets. When I placed the manifold on the engine today, it appears there will be interference with the rubber hose connection and with the water outlets on the water pump. Suggestions?

Bill: The upper outlet from the water pump is blocked in most applications with that manifold, the other is usually attached to the Harrison surge tank and creates the fill point for the cooling system.

Rick, the problem is I can't block off the upper nipple as the large rubber hose that connects the manifold to the "octopus" covers the nipple. Should I remove the nipple, tap the hole, and install an NPT fitting? Seems like the only solution

Rick Parker 11-26-2013 07:44 PM

Exactly.

Thanks! I'm guessing 1/2" NPT

Look at a 3/8" NPT first, 37/64" hole. The 1/2" jumps up to 23/32".

Thanks Nick
