Photoshop Cobra pic

So a few months ago the kid (18) next door asked me if he could shoot some pics of the Cobra for his photography class. I said sure and pushed it out into the street. He used his cell phone to shoot a couple of dozen pictures. lol
No big deal he is a great kids, loves cars blah, blah.
The other day my son says "Hey did you see the picture Josh did of your car?"
I said "no?"
"Its pretty good, everybody at school is talking about it"
I was blown away! Now I wish I had taken it to a better spot! LOL

The heavily "processed" look in your neighbors pic is a bit if an acquired taste for me, but it gave me the chance to look through your gallery. I love the look of your car with the alum seat and cut down windshield and dark painted wheels and the forward roll bar brace. What a fabulous looking car!

These cars make the scenery look good not the other way around. Nice shot. After our car was built an artist heard about it and asked if he could do a pencil drawing of it,we love it.

Dcel:
Do your hood vents help with cooling ? I would think they would be helpful when stopped or in slow traffic.

D-CEL 12-10-2013 07:46 AM

Thanks guys for the kind words. I took is out for a little spin yesterday to circulate the fluids. Made me feel like a dam sissy! It was in the high 40's and light jacket and t-shirt didn't cut it! lol

Motorhead,

Yes the vents seem to help a lot. My estimate is about 10-15 deg f difference in traffic.

Very cool pic Jason. I It would have been cool to take the pic in front of an old Route 66 filling station,

D-CEL 12-11-2013 09:52 AM

LOL you know, my house is 460' from Route 66 in Rancho Cucamonga and we have a 1908 Richfield station about 1 block away.

Sadly it has been stripped of its glorious gas station history!
This is it in its heyday around 1929

Not long ago they named it a historic landmark and started raising money to restore and use it in some capacity.
I have dreams about a Cobra photo shoot in front of it when its done...
