Nice 289 on Ebay

Just stumbled over this...

Shelby Cobra Roadster | eBay

...nicely done 289 replica. I'm very curios because there was another one, that one went for only $36K.
FIA 289 Cobra Era | eBay

The other had pin drive wheels and Webers......
If they were next to each other this one would be less $$$

Perforated leather seats?

With the current auction, if it was a one owner car, why would they not put which manufacturer the car was? Looks to be a nice Unique, or maybe even a Contemporary with bolt on wheels......if it is a Contemporary, than 36K would be a decent deal, with room left over to convert to true knock offs.

As for the second one (an ERA 289FIA), that was an absolute steal at 36K....

You have no idea how close I came to click "place bid" - my wife standing behind me and saying '''do it'''.....uhhh, I really had to restrain my self:mad:

Green 289

If you look close the green 289 is a ERA car as well. It has a street dash and bolt on wheels. If you look at the engine bay and firewall that is ERA. IT was a very nicely built car but seller had incorrect info on the car. As for the Blue car with Webbers that was on e-bay a few weeks ago, the seller did not follow through with the sale to the high bidder.

I just checked, the car is not re-listed -- do you know the seller?

That's really a bummer for the high bidder on the Blue car. I hate when sellers back out after accepting an offer.
