Wiring loom material-what to use for the OE look
I am ready to tie up the wiring harness in the engine compartment and want to put the wires in a loom of some kind. Was the typical plastic split loom used in 65 or is there a more original looking material available?

The classic braid Painless Wiring looks good. We use it a lot. |

I am looking for what Shelby used on the SC's.

It would be a mix.
The engine compartment would have very little loom mostly tape and the chassis tape. |
Pretty sure I'm not "Shelby or AC correct" but I wanted an old school look so I used a NAPA product called Ashphalt Coated Fabric Loom. Comes in different ID's and is cheap. Example P/N is 737103 which is 3/8" ID.

We call it friction tape,
Friction tape is a type of adhesive tape made from cloth impregnated with a rubber-based adhesive. Sticky on both sides. check with Del City, They have a lot of automotive products you can use. Del City - Electrical Supplies & Professional Grade Wiring Products Dwight |
