Aussies in town

I spend a lot of time in the USA as many of you know.

I usually try and catch one or two auto events.

The highlights this last visit was SEMA in Las Vegas and then into the NHRA museum and drag racing at Pomona. It was great to catch up and buy a few beers for the Arizona gang and others.

I was pretty limited, as I was traveling with a small group of racers who had visits booked into factories, team race shops and engine shops.

In May this year, its a bit different. I will travel over for the first time with my son who is a BMW fan having restored to the limit a nice little 2002 coupe. He is also in the process of building a '32 Ford roadster.

So we will be looking for events and must see shops.

We are free in LA for the first week and a half in May.

Any thoughts on things we should see, locations we need to visit.

Events..

I am looking at the cruise nights and other events....

But would appreciate your ideas. I need to keep my son occupied..:)

Hi all,

We have a few events to attend.

The Street rod forum supplied links to the SoCal web site, so we will make 'Big Boys' in Glendale, the Huntington Beach swap and show and 'Donut Derelicts'......%/.

My son is keen on the street rod events.

We may try and make a few shops.

Thanks for the emails and links.

Keep us 'Posted'...:3DSMILE:

Check out the vault at the Peterson, they sold a mess of cars last year so not sure what is currently there.

Bruce Myers cars rotate not sure what is at the Peterson now. I posted this article about his new(first garage built in town years ago) garage where some of his collection is stored.

http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/all-...r-article.html

Bruce also has/had about a dozen beauties next to his house in Beverly Hills. Beverly Drive is where his company Meyer Pacific...is located from there you can ask around about his "garage". Never know you may bump into him. Great guy very approachable.

I have seen him at Super Sunday events in past years but haven't been to one in a long time.

Hide yer wimmin! The aussies are in town!

Seriously BMK, I hope you and your son enjoy your time in the US. Sounds like he's already a car guy, so you've done well as a parent. I wish I was closer to California. I'd head on over and squire you two around for a couple weeks!
