Kit Car Builder Magazine Announcement
Just received a letter from "Kit Car Builder" that they will no longer be printing the magazine but will go digital magazine format. Your subscription will be at Kit Car Builder. Really sorry to see this.

Sad indeed, but not surprising.
I don't see how any print publications are profitable these days. |
Pity that print material is slowly disappearing. Paper has been around for thousands of years. When the historians come looking at our era and sicover a huge gap in the printed history what will they do? Conclude civilization ended for a while? They can't know because the printed evidence that the printed history ended before it was printed. :)

they could pull it out of the clouds instead of some places others have pulled their information over the years. :) Seriously, what kind of world will it be with no reading material in the bathrooms. I happen to like printed material (newspapers, books, magazines,etc.).

Apparently, the Kit Car world isn't big enough these days to support a single subject magazine. I think with all the Hot Rods (that are actually kit cars) they should be considered as part of the kit car world in the after market business.
Perhaps a publications such as Hot Rod and others could cover kit cars as an interesting section of their monthly publications. I'm sure the kit car advertisers would want to be in their magazines too, FFR is doing it. Just Sayin! Bill |
Oh crap! There goes some more sh!t-house literature...
I can see it now, "Honey, can you buy me another Ipad? This one's swirling around in the bottom of the thunder-mug and I'm feeling a little flushed!" |
I hate to see it happen as well. I too enjoy reading paper books, magazines, even newspapers! Looks like the same thing is going to happen to our local newspaper soon. What will I use when I'm painting and cleaning car parts?

Another interesting side note. I also recvd. the letter and since my subscription for the paper mag doesn't run out until Oct 2015, I emailed KCB and asked them what they were going to do regarding the balance of my subscription since now the on line version of the mag was free. The answer is that the mag. is no longer owned by the original people so all they will offer is I can have all the old issues I want up to an equal number of the unfilled mags I would have recvd. on the balance of my subscription. Doesn't do me much good since I save the old issues I want to keep for reference. Oh well.

...and I thought I was being "smart" to pay for the two year subscription....saved $$.
Now I get two years' free access to a website where I would get free access anyway? Not exactly my idea of a great deal anymore...... No Cheers for the new owners. Dugly  |
Very suprising.
In the UK, we have Totalkitcar « Kit Car Magazine Welcome to Complete Kit Car Dont know how profitable they are, and some are thinner publications than others, but 3 mags in our little island, and not one across the US of A? |
This is why I don't bite on these early renewals or extension offers. They only got me for two issues on this change.
