SAAC-39 - 2014 Shelby American Automobile Club National Convention
Announcing to all our friends from ClubCobra... SAAC-39 This year, the Shelby American Automobile Club (SAAC) will hold its 39th National Convention at Road America in Elkhart Lake WI. Established in 1955, Road America is located between Milwaukee and Green Bay, in Elkhart Lake Wisconsin. Its legendary 14-turn road circuit has challenged the world's best racers for over 57 years...and holds a special place within Shelby history. The 640-acre facility will give us a tremendous venue for all Convention activities. The dates are May 15 - 17, 2014. I will post interesting highlights and previews of the many aspects of a SAAC National event on this thread. If you love Shelbys and Cobras, it is an experience you won't want to miss. Once again, SAAC-39 will be held jointly with the SVRA ( Sportscar Vintage Racing Association ) and we will be concurrent to their Vintage Racing, making for a full four days of track action. ...a classic for both Vintage Racing, old and new Ford and Shelby enthusiasts. You'll experience Car shows, Concours judging, Vintage Shelby and Cobra wheel-to-wheel racing, parties and vendor exhibits...something for everyone. Right now there are slots open for booking in every event. Online Registration can be accomplished by clicking on the image below More to follow. See you at Road America for SAAC-39 |

Might be a little ambitious that early in the year while also being the first miles put on the car?
Also, SAAC starts Thursday so limited on time as Max has school. Ron, Max is ready! |
The way this winter is going there may still be snow on the track at that time of year. It is a great location!!
