That's my thoughts giving the fact that the dollar has lost 40% of its value since 2005.

Ron you sure?

On a street car, which this is, there isn't any gauge above the column. ;)

Didn't it say that everything was changed to SC specs, so if that is correct, it wouldn't reflect a dash for a street car.

Jim's just havin' fun...

I can't imagine taking the chance, either.

As long as no one runs into you and you don't run into anyone, then it's all good :)

…says one of those people driving around Dallas. Smart ass.:)

Attaboy George, that's what insurance is for. The oil pressure and water temp are swapped to correct SC locations. The oil pressure gauge is also 100 and should be 160 for a 427.

buddyg 03-04-2014 07:48 PM

Wonder what the premiums are for that? LOL

When I look at current prices for originals (or near originals) and then think back to the crazy things that we did with ours back in the 1970s ....

Kill a half keg of beer, tell a few lies, and then spend the afternoon street racing. And we lived to this ripe, old age to tell about it.

Depends on what the chassis number range is...

Then what would CSX 3356 oil pressure read 100 or 160 ? The few that I have seen were reading 100'

menace1 03-07-2014 09:37 AM

Hard to tell really. As it is said , no two Cobra's were built alike.

DMXF 03-07-2014 12:27 PM

3356 would be expected to have a 100psi oil press gage. Yes, there were variations in these cars, but far more often than not the differences follow chassis number or completion sequence correlation depending on what was utilized at the time.

rodneym 03-07-2014 01:43 PM

Restored...to a different car.

So if you bought it, drove it and someone asked you, "Is it original", what would you say?

:p

Sideways 03-07-2014 09:31 PM

I'd the CSX number is original...but the rest??
