Ellie Goes for a Ride...
I fabricated a harness that hooks in to the lap portion of the seat belt and it goes around her shoulders and butt. She was a little nervous at first, but then settled down and absolutely loved it -- even bugged me to go on another drive when we got home. She'd been asking to go for a ride in the Cobra for a couple of years now.

Pretty soon she is going to start giving you those sad eyes and trying for the other seat....They do make adaptive controls for cobras, don't they

Nice harness & can she see over the door? At least now; the girls will finally have something else besides the car to swoon over!
All banter aside, nice harness M8! :3DSMILE:

Yes she can see over the door. And she can not get her claws on the front cowl or door sill. I have been meaning to do this for a while. I took a little bit of ribbing on this thread before: http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/all-...ide-cobra.html

What about goggles and ear plugs?
|
Seriously though, I am jealous. There is no way that I could even make a similar system for my golden retriever, unless I put Kevlar gloves with 1/2" thick padding on her paws. My paint job and dash would be ruined in no time.
Enjoy the rides together.

Well, we know you love her, because of the two roll bars.

I don't know if Patrick truly left the garage with Cobra and Ellie in the passenger seat. No evidence.

Ellie and I will both swear to it.:p It was a slow, casual drive though. No high-spirited behavior by any means. But it worked so well that highway driving would not be a problem.

I don't think that position would be too comfortable on Ellie's back. She's put on a little "winter weight" with it being so cold and snowy. In order to fab the harness, I used one of the kid's big stuffed bunny rabbits as a stand-in. I thought about snapping a shot of that, but I was afraid it might make me look like a nut.
