There was a thread like that years ago...could be fun...might be surprised.

I've had decked out big Broncos (80s), an Expedition awhile ago...and they're great once you get to the ag client's location, but getting there wasn't as much fun. If I have to get real down and dirty, I just borrow a pickup from a client.

Wine area clients are a little more fun...I've been given Defenders (90 and a 110) to use for a few days, and what must be the most used up/ beat up G-Wagon still running...patina rich.

Ended up with a 650i M-sport (twin turbo) for a couple of years. Magnificent beast actually. Loved the M6, but just a bit much for what I put my business cars through.

What I was really eyeballing was a Petty Challenger, but it was a bit "young" for me according to the wifey, who comes along on some trips (the ones to Napa and Monterey...she never asks when I'm heading to Blythe for some reason).

What do you drive daily?

Steve...you know what you can do.

Ron,

I would never disagree with your bride, but.......... I think you are on solid ground choosing the Dodge, for many reasons.
The car and "The King" are both idols from our generation. Hell if they made a 2015 AAR Cuda I'd sure as hell want one, Gurney was one of my heros as well.

Moreover I think Dodge did it just right, then and now. By that I mean the persona is more mature and masculine than the Mustang et al. Sales demographics also point in that direction.

Dodge also has the nod for replication, the 2005 Mustang came pretty close, the Camaro, not so much.

Of the vintage Challengers I prefer the '71. Split grille, gills in the back 1/4's, and shorter slash-cut side stripe, etc.

Of the pictures I've seen the next-gen challenger will emulate the '71, with 600hp. If that is true, I will be ordering the SRT, White/Black, shaker, 6sp pistol-grip manual short R/T side stripes and summer performance tires.............and smoke 'em like a teenager.

ADD: I'd love for them to bump the CI up to 426 and paste it to the shaker.
