Ford Pump / Chevy Rack Question

My Everett Morrison uses the C4 Corvette steering rack and when I purchased the car last year it had a chevy engine in it. I recently rebuilt the car and installed a SBF with its factory Ford PS pump.

I'm aware of the issue with the Saginaw pump putting too much volume and/or pressure with a Ford rack in most hot rod applications but my question is how do I make the Ford pump work with the Chevy rack?

Note: The car is together and the hoses are hooked up. 80+ miles on the car so far, just feels "sticky" at low speeds. Smooths out a little once warm.

Any thoughts?

Mike

Maybe a slightly smaller pully wheel to increase the revs on the pump to pump more?

That was my first thought. Billet pulleys came in a kit so I was holding off as a last resort. It does make sense though. Thanks!
