Ed our doors are always open and lately there's something of interest going on like another narrow hip project or a one large A-10 getting colors and graphics:-)

The P-51 cobra has some good company :-)

Ron,

When we saw this picture, both Mrs. P-51 and I said "Holy sh*t! That looks amazing!"

We can't remember what we were going to do with the bumperettes. Black them out? Red?

The car is looking fantastic and I love the chequered nose. However, if I'm absolutely honest, I'm not too keen on the "machine gun" indicators. They're very clever, but a little too contrived in my opinion. Sorry.
Can't wait to see the finished article though.

It really needs the low-cut wrap-around windscreen....But I still give it a 10 Dick!

Maricopa- To stay true to the P-51 mustang a flat wind screen is appropriate. The bubble canopy is actually in the rear over the pilots head.
The bubble windshield is unique but alittle to George Jetson for this project.

Here's the V-12 exhaust port mockup. We are fabbing them up out of steel since they will be funtional but with a spliter that puts the exhaust to the rear when driving.
The nomenclature is also just a mock up.

Now that will be different. I suspect that will be straight exhaust out the ports - no muffling?

We dyed the ports as planned and the look is perfect. Hard to see in the video so I'll take a few photos and post them. Since we had been handling the aluminum durring the exhaust install I'm going to give it another round will a final polish.
I also had to order 6 1157 sockets since the single led I though would be all that was needed for the turn signals lacked parking lights,,,,, just another slight set back.

Glad you liked our white flag trick, figured a visual with the sound would be fun

P-51, I was up visiting Ron today and got to see your car in the "Flesh" as they say. It's absolutely efin unbelieveable. The talent of the Metal-Morphous lads is truely incredible. I know that you will be blown away when you see it in person. I understand that you've moved to New Jersey. I won't question the wisdom of that. Hope to meet up with you in the future.

John,

We can't wait to see it and bring it home next Saturday. It's been a real pleasure working with Ron and Pedro.

On the NJ front, we actually are loving it here. Looking forward to getting together with others in the area. We were picking up our trailer in PA a couple of weeks ago when the Covered Bridge Tour crowd rumbled by. Can't wait to do that next year.

This thread has been awesome to follow...
Any chance that you may consider going red with the wheels to play off of the red elevator and stabilizer of the P51 shown in the pic.? Maybe even red center, yellow lip?

MK.
