CSX 3135 at Mecum auction. $300k?
Top bid only $300k.
What's up with that? Is there some issue with the car's history or was it just not marketed as well as it deserved? I saw nothing about it as a featured car or any other special marketing while I was there. It was just sitting there like any other car. The Registry gives a long detailed history of the car. It was badly damaged in multiple crashes and finally was "rebuilt" with a new body and chassis by McCluskey in the 70's, so it is a "resurrected" Cobra with good title.
