What era of build number? There's been a few variations over the years.

redd 09-08-2014 09:07 AM

im currently thinking of buying a new backdraft from vintage motorsport so it would be a 2014 model.

Cashburn 09-08-2014 11:15 AM

The muffler is 28" long and approx. 3" straight through. On current cars.

And rattle a lot!!!!

NEWBD 09-23-2014 05:31 PM

I have to agree on the rattle.

shand21 09-23-2014 05:36 PM

hey guys please explain rattle...like exhaust rattle or metal rattle

itstock 09-23-2014 06:51 PM

Do you two have heat shields on? I don't have the rattle so I imagine it's either the shield or a newer design.

vref120 09-23-2014 10:49 PM

I checked the shields on mine for tightness as well as the bracket because BD told me they sometimes crack. All fine. Even went as far as taking the shield off and driving the car. Rattles internal. No change with the shields on or off. Running a 408 small block.

I have BDR #471, no rattle on my end. Not sure how to expect rattle on a muffler...
