which interior
Granted, one of these is a 289 car, and the other isn't, but which color scheme do you prefer?

The one with a black dash and carpet.
|
I think tan leather doors, and carpet with a black dash might work better than the options above.
|
I prefer the black dash and black carpet.
I like lippy's suggestion too. Cheers, Glen |
Top one with a black dash.
|
Depends on the colour of the paint job for me...
Else I prefer uniform look of all Tan. You realise there's no right option here. Which do YOU prefer? |
If you're going to make me pick, then all tan. I'd prefer all black, but that's not an option.
Option B just doesn't look right to me, but I'm not an interior or fashion designer. Maybe Patrick will chime in. I believe fashion design was his major in college. |
66gtk,
I think the all tan (including matts) is nicer, IMHO. But, as Dimis said, it's all about YOU. I'm guilty of it just as much as the guy with the pink lizard dash, furry seat covered, Chevy powered...you get the idea :p |
All tan. Looks good with the blue paint
|
Both look nice, but there's only one person that has to like it ! The only concern I would have is the potential for stains in the light colored carpet.

The all tan looks nicer, but the black/tan looks more original or maybe closer to the time frame of the body design.
|
The paint color is British Racing Green. I've also been milling the black dash only consideration as well. I should have pulled those crappy black mats for the photo - just trying to keep the tan carpet cleaned. I spent 6 hours scrubbing all the carpet and seats / removing the stains.

In fact you may find that it's closer to tan :) Don't fool yourself into thinking tan will be harder to clean than black. ;) Both will require equal maintanace IMHO. Perhaps less so with tan. British racing green. I like it. Would look great with either tan or black. But I'm not sure about a hybrid approach. Just my 2cents. |
All tan
|
I know these are just opinions, but this is really helping me get my head around things. Thank you for all your input and your votes on the poll. I'll try and get some more pics this weekend as the trees just started to turn this week and it will be beautiful and sunny.

No tan. It's a raw sports car, not a luxury car.
|
One of the benefits of a tan interior (especially seats) is that the car can sit in full sunlight all day and the seats (and the carpet and the dash) will still be almost cool to the touch. Jump into a black interior under the same conditions and you'll ultimately have to peel something of yourself off something of the interior.
