VR-1 oil
Is anyone using VR-1 oil, and how do you like it? I am using AMSOIL but thinking about switching because I can buy it at Pep Boys.

I use the VR-1 20-50 Racing oil and it works very well in my 428CJ. The engine prefers it to the synthetics. I have solid lifters. VR-1 has a high zinc content, if you have a newer engine and are running catalytic converters it may not be a good choice, as the high zinc content will not work well with the cats.

I have 1969 351 stroker, I thought VR-1 was synthetic?

They make both a conventional and synthetic racing oil. I should have been more specific in my earlier post. These engines all vary in what they prefer. Test some out and see how the engine responds.
