Painting Halibrand Wheel Centers
I'm thinking of painting the centers of my Vintage Wheels pin drive Halibrands matte bronze. Do you think it would look funky? Currently they are standard mid grey.
Thanks

Back in the day, I painted the centers of the (original) Halibrands on CSX 3121. I thought they looked good (kind of a dull gold color).

Sure
I think you should do what makes you happy, they'll look like they are magnesium, which is cool, besides, if you don't like it, you can always paint them gray again.

I was thinking the same thing re looking like magnesium. I have a source for a painter that does wheels. I will visit him after I return from vacation

Maybe use spray on plastidip - at least you can pull it off if you don't like the look.

I used a rattle can; the whole project, including masking the tires took about two hours.

Thanks guys. I plan to paint them matte bronze. Just can't decide if I should paint the whole rim or just the centers
