New Smiths Cobra Gauges

NEW FROM NISONGER INSTRUMENTS

As you probably know, up until now, if someone building a Cobra Replica also wanted to replicate the look of the original Cobra Dash, they were forced to install Smiths mechanical Water Temp., Oil Temp. and Oil Pressure gauges. The potential of damaging the capillary tubes or sensing probes during installation or while servicing the engine at a later date combined with the need to install a pressure line between the engine and Oil Press Gauge resulted in many owners installing electric gauges that really don’t look correct. Virtually all electric gauges currently on the market have a 70° “pointer sweep”.

In an effort to combine the best of all worlds, Nisonger has been working with Smiths for several years on the development of a line of ELECTRIC 270° pointer sweep electric Water Tem, Oil Temp, and Oil Pressure Gauges; the results of those efforts are the new series of 427 Cobra 270° sweep electric gauges.

Additionally, an original style Electric 270° 10 PSI Fuel Pressure Gauge for Carbureted Engines and a 100 PSI model for modern day Injected engines is also available.

These 427 Cobra Electric gauges are identical in appearance to the original mechanical gauges in every respect and will be available for shipment in late November ONLY from “The Source”:

Cool! Just curious but how much does a full set cost?

I have the fuel pressure for mine, it's very nice. They are also celebrating an anniversary of a long time servicing our industry.

Go to Peter's first post in this thread and click on the Nisonger link, then select "427 Cobra OEM style 270 degree Sweep Electric Gauges"....and there you can see the pictures.
I bought some gauges from Nisonger some years ago, and they are very good to deal with.

Cheers
Glen

I wanted to go original looking with my Hurricane cobra build and bought the Smiths electronic set from Peter at Nisonger, and couldn't be happier. I took his advice and swapped a more useful Volt meter in place of the stock Amp meter.

I also got original style lucas toggle switches, wiper and dimmer controls, ignition switch and indicator/warning lights from Craig Coombe (cobrakiwi here), very pleased with Craig's help as well.

I just did the same thing, except I went with the amp meter, I replaced the oil temp gauge with the 0-100 psi Fuel pressure gauge as am doing EFI. Peter is great to work with.
