Foot box Heat
To the owners of CSX continuation cars, Kirkham and Exact cobras, how is the heat from the engine department inside of the foot boxes and interior?
Say with an outside temp of around 70 to 90 degrees? With the big block fe as the engine. Thanks. |
I made stainless heat shields for the footboxes, cheapo foil/foam ins on the inside, and in-line bilge blowers in the vent ducts. no problem except a little warm on the 90+ days here in Fl in the summer. The fiberglass bodied BDR's and EM's I drove were actually cooler !

Yup, they can get warm.
That's why you don't need a heater in them!;) |
