Ahhh... Nope... I'd pull the pin and get out and run.

If the sucker burns, she burns...
I pay good money for insurance to deal with it from there. **)

I always used to pack my own chutes, including my reserve!;)

I installed a new halon extinguisher. If I remember correct from my research....Halon is twice as effective, per lb, as Halotron.

I am much more afraid of fire than jumping out of an airplane!;)

Is a Class B the one to consider?

How big and what brand is best?

Thanks.

This is what I suggest

I'm surprised how many people have just one fire extinguisher that they store it in the trunk. Isn't that like owning a firearm for "personal safety", and locking it in a safe?

Thanks. I just installed a halotron as a result of reading this thread.

The second unit is mounted in the trunk to the roll bar brace. It is an old fashioned ABC powder type extinguisher. If my car catches on fire, I will use the Halotron unit on it. If your car is on fire, I will use the old fashioned unit and then you'll have to use Q-Tips to clean up all the white residue, but at least the fire damage will have been lessened.
