Thanks to all for the great messages.We have decided to have Keith Craft build the motor for the ERA Cobra.All of the other engine builders mentioned also have excellent reviews.The engine block will be a 527c.i. Shelby all aluminum.Heads will also be aluminum.Looking for approx. 650HP with equal torque.I have spoken with Lance Smith at KC and he feels this will be more than enough for my needs.I will post pics and info when available.Thanks again for all of the kind help.Bob.

Sounds like a nice engine.
I look forward to seeing it come together. Any ideas what intake you might use? PS: Stay away from Eagle cranks. Several reports of them not surviving well. I believe Keith used to use these, not sure if he still does. Good luck with it. |
That should get you moving down the road. Not sure what he is using for forged cranks but he was using SCAT for cast cranks when he built my engine. Post some pictures when it gets together.
