How Many CSX Cobras Built To Date

I ran across production numbers from a AMY that I assume worked for Shelby or still may. But this was in Feb. of 2008.

I am wondering if anyone has current production numbers of CSX Shelby Continuation Cobras. Then also the breakdown of numbers Aluminum and Glass cars as well as the cars that were built up to the date Carroll Passed?

Here are the old numbers as of February 2008. Copied and pasted.

"WE KNOW HOW MANY ORIGINAL CARS EXIST BUT HOW MANY 427 CONTINUATION SERIES COBRAS EXIST?

HOW MANY IN ALUMINUM? HOW MANY IN GLASS?

ALSO DO WE KNOW APPROXIMATELY HOW MANY ARE PRODUCED EACH YEAR?

DOES ANYONE HAVE THESE STATISTICS???

-CONTINUATION COBRA'S FOR 427 CSX4000 SERIES ARE ROUGHLY 720+ TOTAL

-ALUMINUM IS ABOUT 170 OF THAT NUMBER AND THE BALANCE IS GLASS, THERE ARE SOME CARBON FIBER AS WELL, ABOUT 8 OF THOSE.

-THERE ARE ALSO 13 AC ORIGINAL HAND ROLLED ALUMINUM BODIES THEY ARE CSX1000, BUT ARE 427 BODY STYLE

-BY YEAR, I CAN GET YOU THAT AND THE EXACT NUMBERS ON MONDAY, BUT IT HAS BEEN ERATIC. EACH YEAR IT CHANGED DEPENDING ON SUPPLY AND THE HEALTH OF THE COMPANY WAS NOT GOOD FOR MANY YEARS, BUT IN 07 WE DID OVER 80 GLASS AND 20+ ALUMINUM

HOPE THIS HELPS FOR THE WEEKEND!

Amy"

Let's see SAI has used up all the 4000-4999 numbers plus some 4XXXLA numbers and are now into the 6XXX range. As far as a glass vs alloy, only SAI can break that down.

That sounds like it came from Amy Boylan who was management at SAI and left before Carroll past. Last I heard, she was President of West Coast Customs working for Ryan.

Sooo, the total number of NON ORIGINAL, BUT GENUINE, reproductions of the Shelby version of the AC?
Shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Any relation to Onyxrider? looking at your nonsensical and inarticulate post you seem to be related. Since the answer to the op is easy to figure out let us know when you have the the answer.

...in the meantime I will contact Gary Paterson and see if this info is available.

Yup, Gary is your huckleberry at SAI. A good guy!;)

Contacted Gary. Said he would round up the info for me. Also said all the annivesary 427s are sold of which 20 are aluminum.

Thanks for all the solid responses. It will be interesting to read the current numbers. Hopefully we can get a detailed break down.

Any new information?

I know of at least 17 fiberglass bodied 4000's that were re-clothed in ally.

Got word from Gary. Steve Thorton apparently will be getting the information.
