SMC Cobra brochures

We have owned a 1997 Specialty Motor Cars (SMC) Cobra for a number of years but never could find out much about it or the manufacturer except that they were made in Fayettville Ark. Last week I snagged a beautiful set of color factory brochures and spec sheets from a seller on E bay. They seem to date to 1993 and even includes a cutaway picture of the car. It reaffirmed my belief in this well made replica. If other SMC owners would like copies of these brochures, PM me and I'll attempt to scan them.

I have a 67 SMC Cobra with a 351 Cleveland and would like any info on where it originated
I've had it for 2 years and received a copy of a brochure showing that it was a factory build but no mention of where it came from. May I see your brochure? VIN plate on firewall is no help.

I think SMC was originally headed by the father of Bryan Anderson of LA Exotics/B&B Cobras. According to the famous December 1991 Car & Driver Cobra replica article by Patrick Bedard, Bryan fell out with and split from his dad because the older Anderson stood by higher quality engineering and quality standards which Bryan apparently thought was "a bunch of hooey." (loose quote from the article). Though I know little about the SMC cars themselves, that always implied to me that the cars built under the leadership of Anderson senior were of a higher quality than the LAE and B&B replicas that Bryan went on to build. Editor Bedard wasn't very kind to Bryan and wrote that his approach was less like engineering and more akin to "blacksmithing"
I'd be curious to see some pics and learn more about the Anderson (senior) -era SMC Cobras.

I am looking at a '66 SMC Cobra 289 replica for possible purchase. No literature with it. If you have the scanned brochure available, I would appreciate a copy. Thanks!

SMC Cobra Brochure

Hello SMCCOBRA
Any chance I can get a copy of the brochure you have? I recently purchased a SMC 67 Cobra basket case and could really benefit by some technical information.

Thanks
