Cobra's in Tunnels

A thread in another forum got me remembering the awesome sounds of a group of Cobras in convoy through the du Toits Kloof tunnel - unfortunately things like Go Pros etc didn't exist in those days so don't have a recording of it.

Anybody got videos of Cobra's in tunnels? If so please post them for our enjoyment.

I drove my AC through the Callahan Tunnel in Boston on my way down to a FFR summer meet. I don't own a FFR, but I didn't think they would mind a ERA in there midst. I must say romping through that tunnel was a blast! I had cars pulling over because they didn't know what was coming up behind them. There is nothing quite like 427 side oiler romping through a long tunnel:cool: No film though.

Warren Myers used to drive his Superformance Cobra through the tunnel there and he went to the Factory Five Meets with it and they enjoyed having him. I will look and see if he posted any videos of one of his drives through the tunnel. We used to joke with him that he was the cause of the roof falling in.

Ron :)

Just drove my cobra down to the Pocono Raceway for a 3 day racing school and had to drive through a tunnel into the paddock area. Nice rumble going through the tunnel!

So how did the racing school go? Your ERA looks a lot cleaner than the last time I saw it😄
