Posting Issues
I replied to a post yesterday and after submitting it, a message indicates that it won't be displayed until an administrator reviews it. What gives? There are posts on the forum that were made AFTER mine.
|
Dave, that's probably because you only have one post, so you are still a new member.
|
I understand. But how do you "accumulate" the required number of posts if you can't make posts. I can start a thread, but can't post. And yet I can post a response to your post. Confusing.
|
Yes Dave, I remember it being like that for me as well.
So, don't be too put off if your reply posts take time because a moderator needs to see it. Your reply should appear after the moderator has authorised it. It's their way of getting to know you and putting trust in what you may write in a post. As you age in membership, you'll become part of the "family" and you'll get to communicate with a great bunch of guys on here. |
Since you were able to start this thread I'll assume your reply post had an attachment or link and ran afoul of our spam defenses...especially given your posting "history" as it were.
After a few dozen posts, you'll be able post with attachments...spammers usually don't take the time to do that. Course, it might help if you PM'd me with the post's location or hit report a post if you'd like some immediate assistance. I'm not of a mind to spend the few remaining years of my presence on this planet looking for it through thousands of threads. |
Jamo, you are correct in that my "rejected" reply contained a hyperlink. I was attempting to help the fellow in Australia looking for license plate referencing aviation. After removing the hyperlink, the reply was successfully posted. So now I know.
